Holystone Village is a small village near the River Coquet in Northumberland where the Benedictine nuns once tended a famous well called the Lady’s Well. The well still stands today not far from the local pub.

Ann Douglas of Shaperton 7th March 1800 aged 84 years. Also James husband of the above Labourer 14 June 1810 age 75.
Robert Thomas, Rothbury 1st September 1854 aged 49 years.
Mary Hedley Spearman daughter of Gedeon and Henaor Spearman of Newbiggin 24th December 1816 aged 16 years. Alice their daughter 11 November 1825 aged 17 years. Their son William Hedley Spearman died 5th September 1827 age 22 years. Eleanor wife of Gedeon Spearman died 26th October 1828. Gideon Spearman died Newbiggin 9th February 1859 age 83.
Robert Spearman died Clennel 22 April 1834 age 88 years. Wife Jane of Biddlesstone Edge 3 April 1825 aged 71. Also son of Robert of Warton died at Thropton 27 April 1827 aged 57. Charles Robert Vassey son the above died at Thropton 26 May 1848 aged 26 years

Daughters of Robert and Jane Spearman of Warton Routhbury Parish. Jane died 13thJanuary 1797 aged 18 years and 9 months, Isabella died 23rd January 1801 age 18 years 3 months. Ann 11th February aged 23 years 8 months. Mary 4th December 19 years 2 months.
Thomas Pittiloh of Newcastle, 31st October 1796 age 55 years. Wife of above Isabella of Gateshead, 10th November 1818, age 90 years.
Elestay Brewis wife of George Brewis of Newton and daughter of Robert Spearman of Warton 20th February 1831 aged 43 years. Isabella Maira daughter of George and Elizabeth Brewis died at Rock Moor House, Parish of Rennington. 10th December 1838 aged 8 months. Charlotta Elestay daughter 17th November 1844 aged 10years. George Father of above 18th September 1847 aged 62 his wife Elizabeth 22 December 1858 aged 45 Margaret Hibbert daughter of the above died Bolton, Lancs 4th July 1881 age 35.
John Clake of Netherton Burnfoot Labourer 31st January 1800 aged 72 years. Son John 16th August 1771 aged 8 years. Wife of the above Eleanor of Netherton 2nd July 1810 aged 78 years.

John Common of Harbottle 17 June 1763 aged 45. Also wife Catherine 14 May 1814 aged 90 years. Son John 26 July 1828 aged 75. Christiana wife of Thomas Common 7th September 1841 aged 63 years, said Thomas 25th May 1842. Elizabeth Common died at Thorpton 6th May 1877 aged 68 years. J Common died at Harbottle August 1885 aged 85.

Daughter Sarah 26th September 1863 aged 44 years Robert Blacklock 1st April 1867 aged 85 years.

Catherine daughter of Joseph and Dorothy Oliver of Holystone Mill, 8th November 1830 age 8 years. And their second daughter Catherine 21st June 1844 aged 12 years. Dorothy Oliver mother to above 2nd September 1869 aged 76. Joseph father to above 17th July 1882 aged 97 years. Grandson Robert Oliver 16th May 1881 aged 26 years. Isabella wife to Joseph Oliver died 27th December 1890 aged 62 years above Joseph 30th June 1914 aged 84.

William Gillespie husband of the above died Holystone 14 February 1831 aged 86 years. William son of the above 5th March 1845 aged 50 years. Daughter Elizabeth 8th April 1853 aged 54 years. Daughter Magdillon died Holystone 28th December 1863 age 79 years.
